projects projects and more projects

I really gotta get cracking on my science fair project. I really didn't do much. I have a basic idea of what to do but like right now life is just super messed up. So many projects and stuff to do that I don't even know where to start. The only thing I am looking forward to is the 4 day weekend. Exactly what I need. A weekend to relax and forget all my troubles and a chance to work more on my projects. It's been a busy week this week with the rotation. I don't know... I'm kinda confused right now. Not sure about what but I'm confused. I guess I just need a good night's sleep to calm down and relax. I guessed I'm just stressed out about the projects. Once that's out of the way, I'll have no troubles until another big project comes up.

Anyways something more interesting. Today I learnt the opposite of swag is swog.

ROTATIONNNN

Another rotation. I don't know whether I approve of it or not. The rotation for Day 2 is not great. I have strings right in the morning and P.E. then Science and English. I preferred the old rotation more because obviously I was used to it and I had the hard classes in the morning and the easier ones later in the day to relax. Day 1 rotation isn't that super great either. Applied Skills in the morning is just kinda weird to me. Then again, I'm not used to it. Socials is after, then Math and French. I could get used to the two periods after lunch because those are, I guess, what I consider the "easier" classes and they go well together. I just gotta get used to this then I'll be good.

CHINESEE PARADEE

So today was finally the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown and there were alot of people as usual. It rained... again. I got like soaked after the parade. The only thing that was different this year, was I got a heatpack from my friend for my hands and that helped ALOT. The white gloves we got were like super thin and it would only make ur hands colder if it got wet which it eventually did from the rain. I only got 1 heatpack cuz he needed the other one so I only had one for one hand. I slipped it in my left hand and then marching we went. My right hand was numb and freezing. Next year I'm bringing my own heat packs for both hands. Anyways other than that, another interesting thing that happened were people throwing firecrackers. These staff members for the parade were throwing firecrackers around and some of them were really close to us. I even flinched one time when it caught me off guard. Some guy thought he was all brave and he went up straight to the firecrackers before they explode to take some pictures. He was literally a centimetre away when it popped. Here are two pictures my grandpa took:

St.Johns Ambulance, my cadet group, marching.

pretty skilled chinese dragon handlers.

not feeling tooo well

After the Takewondo lessons today and everything I was feeling really really off. I wasn't really feeling myself. Kinda confused and dizzy I guess. Maybe my heart was pumping too quickly and I got a little overheated. I gotta save up my strength for tomorrow. There's a huge parade tomorrow and it's gonna be freezing and I'm pretty sure it's gonna rain too. I already have a cold and the worst thing that could happen tomorrow would be for it to get worse. Having a stuffy nose sucks. Gotta get some sleep and rest now. Night.

CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADEEEE

SOOOO it's almost the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown and every year there's a parade that I take part in for my cadets group. Usually every year during that parade, it ALWAYS rains. Like literally ALWAYSS. It's also like freezing cold. We get these white gloves but they're more for the design than the warmth. My hands always get really cold and some people even bring these small heat packs to keep their hands warm. I really hope it doesn't rain because that would suckk. It's already bad enough marching in the cold, but if it rains, I'll be drenched and cold. Gotta go pray that it doesnt rain.

ENGLISHH TESTTT

So I spent till like 2 am studying last night and I woke up this morning feeling tired and sick. The only thing that made me feeling better was the beautiful beautiful beautiful sunshine. Sunshine= happiness. I did my test and in the end I found out a read a question wrong and I got 6 questions wrong for sure. so yea. pretty pissed. Then for Science we got to draw some pictures of a person we created for this assignment thing. Roy and Jason drew a beautiful portrait of me. It even looks like me. Kinda. A little. If I was a girl and have a unibrow and wavy hair and some freckles. So yeaa... Not really the best day for moi. P.E. was pretty sweet though. I went on the rings just like usual just cuz they're superr fun. You get this feeling when you go upsidedown and its pretty nice. I'm glad tomorrow's Friday. This week actually went by quite fast. I gotta start working on my science fair this weekend. It's duee soooon.

English test

I haveee an English test tomorrow and theres a bunch of people studying for it. I've already studied for it for like an hour or two and alot of people are just really overdoing it. I guess it's just the pressure. I'm not sure how big the test is gonna be but yea. I'm super tired so this is going to be a short blog today. Anyways today was a gloomy day and everyone just looked tired. That's why I hate gloomy days. They make you feel gloomy. I hope theres more sun coming in the next few weeks because I need some motivation.

Science fair is in a week and a half and I'm getting worried. Gotta start working on it more.

GONEEEE~

today was a pretty bad day. First thing in the morning, I got sick. My throat hurts alot when I talk and I sound nasally. I hope I get better. The second thing was that just this morning, the teacher told us to bring our english books next class for the test or else the teacher will deduct 5 marks per book. I had my books with me like I usually do and I never even thought that I would lose one of my books. Anyways my friend had S.S. or something and he was bored so he wanted to borrow my book. I trusted him so I lent it to him hoping to see it again. When he came back he left the book in the classroom and when he went back the teacher already left. So yea. That basically ruined my day. I really hope I get it back tomorrow or else I'm dead. The third thing is sorta private so yea. The fourth thing is I lost my math homework and my head hurts alot just trying to find it or remember where it went. I'm tired and sick. I hope I feel better tomorrow.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARRRR

GONG HEI FATTT CHOIIII GUYYSSSS.

Hope you guys all have a great day. My day went pretty well I guess. I got some red pockets right at the start of the day and year by year, I'm slowly getting less. I guess these are some of the disadvantages of being that tall. Adults just look at you and they assume you're like super old and that you're too grown up and mature and you're not cute enough to deserve some red pockets. If only I kept some of my baby fat so I'd have chubby cheeks and look like a chipmunk, I'll probably recieve more red pockets no matter how tall I am. The only people that really seem to care about giving me red pockets are like my grandparents and my parents. I guess I should enjoy it while I still can because in a few years, I'll be giving out red pockets to other people. Time to save up some money to prepare for that.

CHINESE NEW YEARR

Tomorrow's Chinese New Year and I can't believe theres still school. My friend from Gladstone told me that they had a Pro-D there so I'm kinda jealous. Tomorrow since it's Chinese New Year, it's sort of a tradition that we wear some new clothes or shoes so I got that pretty much all prepared. I have my purple SUPRA shoes ready and some new clothes I bought for Christmas which I were saving till tomorrow. As you probably know already I also got a haircut so yea. I still wish that there was no school tomorrow. It seriously doesn't make sense. We should get a chance to celebrate it. Lets hope tomorrow's gonna be a good day.

HAIRCUTTTTTTTTT

I. got. a. haircut.

again.

I figured I haven't made a haircut blog in quite a while so it's about time I talk about it again. Today I got a haircut from my favourite barber which is some guy named Paul. He usually gives me daaaa best haircuts. Usually. I've had at least a million of bad experiences associated with my hair with different barbers. Sometimes it's like WAYYYY too short. That just kinda sorta changed this year. Usually if I had hair which didn't reach my eyebrows, I would cry over it because that was like wayyy too short for me back then. Sometimes I would put on my hood and like cry in the corner and try the best to like pull my bangs just to make it longer. Obviously it didn't work but it was worth a try.  I don't even know if I look better or worse. It's just like shorter. Alot shorter. At least I don't cry from barbers anymore. I used to be scared of every haircut. The last time I cried from a haircut was like last year. During the first few days of grade 9. Thats embarrassing.

COOOKKKINGG

Today for cadets, we went to Churchill to learn cooking. It was actually pretty fun. There were different groups that were in charge of different things. One group was making salad, one was making soup, one was making mac and cheese, and another was making pizza. Our group was in charge of making granola bars. It was actually pretty easy. All you had to was mix sunflower seeds and granola together and add some stuff you wanted in it. We added some chocolate. After that, you add some condensed milk and you mix till all the ingredients are spread out evenly. Then you just spread the mix on a pan and bake it at 325 F for 25 minutes. We did that pretty well and we got to help other groups with their soup or their salad. We ate all of the food in the end. The soup tasted kinda weird. The pizza was pretty good. The salad was pretty bad and the mac and cheese was too cheesy. So yea. That was my cooking experience at cadets. Lets hope I get a badge for this. =)

ESSAYYY

So today I got my S.S. essay back and I'm pretty disappointed in what I got. I spent time writing my notes and I thought I did a pretty good job on my essay but nope. I mentioned alot of points but my essay got really off-topic and it wasn't really answering the main question that was needed to be answered. I got a 10/20. I was one of the low scores and I was just pretty disappointed in myself.

Today was just like any average day. Just about the same stuff I guess. I'm glad tomorrow's Friday. Tomorrow I have cadets and I get to cook somee fooooddd. Yea. Pretty excited for that. Looking forward to tomorrow.

PRE-IB EXAMMM

I did it.

I finished the exam. It was a tiring 3 hours. My butt still hurts from too much sitting. There were 4 parts to the exam. 1st part was the math section which was pretty easy and also where I did pretty well in. Then came the reading comprehension section which was really long and I guess some of it. I didn't really get enough time for that but I managed to finish. We got a break where everyone was discussing their answers and how they did. The 3rd part, the critical thinking part, was honestly the worst part for me. There were two reasons. First reason: it was confusing at some parts and some it was hard to understand. The second reason: there was a whole back page and I didn't even notice it until the very end of the test where they were already collecting the test papers. I missed a whole 16 questions. 16 points right there. Gone. Finally to end the test, we had to write a small paragraph. I didn't like that part alot because I didn't get a chance to proof-read my work and I didn't like what I was writing about. I hope I make Pre-IB. =(

Pre-IB Test

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Tomorrow's the Pre-IB test. Should I be excited? Should I be nervous? I have no idea. I don't even know what to expect on the test. I guess I should be nervous because this partly determines if you'll get into Pre-IB or not. I hope I make it though.

Anyways, today I looked more in depth into the story about the asian teen getting beaten up. Turns out there was more to the story. The news reported that the beat up was a retaliation to a beat up they had before. Turns out the asian teen was part of a 20 man gang that attacked the 7 members of the beat up. The 7 people found that one of the members of that gang, the asian teen, was alone walking so they decided to attack him. Personally I think that it was wrong to return attack even though they were attacked before. Especially injuring that kid so seriously. And even if that kid was part of the gang, it doesn't mean he's the main person of the attack so why does he have to take all the blame and the hits. At least we know the reason of the attack.

Horrible

Please do not watch this if you are sensitive. This is very painful to watch and there is alot of mature language.

If you didnt watch the whole video, I'll do a quick summary. It's about a gang of 7 people who attacked a helpless chinese teen. They are around the same age group. They kicked him in the head, stepped on him and it's just very hard to watch. He ended up bleeding and he asked for no more. You will understand if you watch the video.

I just don't understand why anyone would do that to someone so innocent. It's horrible. I'm angry. He was down and bleeding and they continued kicking him. They kicked his head the most and the helpless kid tried to block the kicks with his hand over his head. The idiots who were beating him up just continued. They even took a shoe and hit his face with it. He was bleeding and he begged for them to stop. He was obviously not good at English and those 7 people were being horrible. The kid had to literally run just to escape. I wish him the best. I hope the 7 people get caught and get what they deserve. Please tell other people about this video to support this kid. The world needs to know. Those people are sick. I just can't explain. I can feel the pain of that kid. omg.

HOCKEYY

Finally. Sundayy. It was a really nice beautiful day too with a bit of snow. Usually conditions like this, makes the best days for playing street hockey. The floor's filled with snow and it's slippery so it just adds to the fun. I invited one of my friends over and we start playing. We would do some shootouts with one of us at goalie and the other shooting. I was soooo much fun. I should do this more often if I have time. Anyways after the shootout we practiced controlling the ball and passing. I really hope it snows more because we didnt get any snow for December and I really hope the weather takes this time to make up for it.

CHINESEEEEE

FINALLYYYY. Today was the end of term 1 for Chinese school. We have like 2 weeks of break till term 2. I'm pretty glad I guess. Chinese is pretty time consuming. Especially studying for the dictations every week. We got our report cards today for term one and I gotta say, this would have to be the lowest mark I've ever gotten in all my time at chinese school. I don't even think it's considered a pass. I got like exactly 50%. At my chinese school I'm pretty sure 60% is pass. It's different there. I'm not sure why but all I know is that if I don't get a better mark next term, I'll be repeating Grade 8 Chinese and that would suck. When I was little, my parents made me do Chinese and I hated it. That went on for a while. The only reason I was doing Chinese was cuz of my parents. But then in Grade 6, things changed. I actually enjoyed Chinese for once and my reason for continuing changed. Now I'm doing it because I want to and I think that's the most important reason for anything. Doing something you want. It doesn't matter what I get. Just as long as I learn and enjoy it.

COOKINGGG

Ok so for cadets today, we did our usual drill to start off and after that we did something different. Usually we would be spending our time learning first aid but this week, we learnt about the food guide. I've learnt this at least a billion times when I was little and I'm pretty familiar with it. Turns out that this is for the cooking proficiency badge that we'll get finish the course. On the last class of the cooking proficiency, which is next week, we will be cooking at Churchill. It'll be interesting though. I'm looking forward to making my own dinner next week. Hope the stuff I end up making will be editable.

YAYAYAYAY IM FREEEEEEEE

YAYAYAYAY FINALLY A DAYY WITH NOOOO HOMEWORK. This past week was pretty busy. Especially with the Pre-IB application due and the S.S essay test we had. I had to get a bunch of notes for that test and stayedup till like 12am writing everything. The science fair update was also a pain too. The only thing that I liked about it was that it gave me a little push to get me started on it. It was useful in a way. I also had to study for the S.S timeline test and the big chapter test for French which lasted for 2 days. And finally, tomorrow's Friday. Another weekend. It came just in time too. Ive had a big week.

MYYYY CONTACTSSSS

So today I was washing my contacts at the sink just like how I usually do and suddenly, one of my contacts slipped out of my finger and it went right now the sink. Now obviously I would be super scared because I would be blind going to school without them unless I wear my glasses again and a pair of those hard lense contacts cost 200 dollars. That was 200 dollars going down the drain literally right now. I was looking everywhere and my heart was like pounding. I yelled for my dad and he came up and open one of the pipes. At first there was nothing and I was really disappointed because I thought there might've been a chance that it got stuck in one of the pipes. After running water through all of the pipes throughly, the contacts came out of one of the pipes. I was soooo sooo glad I didn't lose them. I gotta be more careful with my contacts next time.

Pre-IB Application

Finally I finished my whole Pre-IB application. After all my hard work I'm actually finally done everything. I organized the whole application and it's all set to go. I have my Pre-IB biography and all my marks and the residency proof. I spent so much time on this. I'm kinda glad I have a collab tomorrow because it's 1 am and I still have to make notes for my S.S. essay test I have tomorrow and I have to study for the second part of my French test. I'm soo sooo tired. Well. At least now I won't have to worry about it. Glad to get it over with.

SOOOOO MUCHHHH STUFFFF

OMGGGGGGG

I'm like overloaded with work. Especially with the Pre-IB biography due on Thursday. I'm spending alot of time on it but the problem is, I'm not quite following the outline they provided us with on the application form. I wrote too much about my background and not enough about my interests and what I do outside of school. Also, the fact that the biography needs to be on average 500 words, sucks because I have so much to say about myself. At first I thought 500 words was alot but it's actually like nothing. Other than the biography, I have to make notes for the open note S.S test and I have a bunch of math homework and a booklet for Science which is due tomorrow and I still have to do my science fair experiment/ project. I really miss winter vacation.

Homework day

Today was actually the first time I spent the whole day doing homework non-stop with a friend. I invited one of my friends over so we could brainstorm ideas for our pre-IB biography and what we would write. Well that's what we were planning to do. Then we got so carried away with doing other homework we didn't work on the biography till like 2 hours later. It was a pretty good work period though. I managed to finish my math tutor homework and make process into the science homework. Then when I actually had time to do the biography, I made two versions of it because I was out of topic for the first one and the second one I was more in topic but I didn't like it as much and I'm still deciding which one I'm using. I actually enjoyed doing homework for once though. It was kinda fun but I guess it was a bit too slow. Just too many distractions but I'm looking forward to doing this more often in the future. =)

Yup. Today was my grandpas birthday. Me and my parents have it all set up. We already bought a cake for him and we're eating at home. We're making a really nice ginseng soup which is suppose to be super healthy and we're having some steak and some lobster. It'll be a huge meal. Also, alot of grandpa's friends from Hong Kong phoned home and said happy birthday. It was nice that they remembered. I think all the birthday wishes made his day. Hope all your wishes come true grandpa and have a great birthday!

AWKWARDD

You know when you talk to certain people, sometimes the conversations could get really awkward? Yea. I had like millions of those conversations. You really don't have much to say and its awkward just thinking of something to say. You're just scared of saying something wrong and you're scared of what the other person might think of the thing you just said. Thats why I'm scared to start a conversation at all with another person you've never talked to. Today I was literally so scared, I had to ask my friend to go on my account, open the chat, and say hi to start the conversation to another person. We didn't have much to say and the conversation pretty much just died. I hate how its just so awkward talking to people you've never talked to before.

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY JASONNN

HAPPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUU
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY TO YOUUUU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JASONNNN
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY TO YOUUUU

Just to get that out of the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!!!

Anyways back to the real usual blogging. Today was just another normal day. I started with French and we had to do a small skit/presentation in front of the class which I totally forgot about. We had to memorize the lines and I guess we did a good job of it. I forgot like half of my lines though. Then we had math and we had to create quizzes and give them to another person in the class as a math exercise/assignment. I made my quiz super super hard. So hard I kinda felt bad for the other person who got it. Anyways instead of doing the quiz I got, I spent most of my time just helping the guy that got my quiz and just helping him answer my questions. Anyways he finished in the end which was awesome. Socials was the usual and so was Applied Skills.

Gabe made like a bunch of songs for our band and I'm gonna try and start one. I'm not sure how it'll turn out or if I'll have time for it but I'll do my best.

BULLDOGS CLASSSIC

Today during P.E. , even though we didn't get tickets for Bulldogs Classic, we still got in because our P.E. teacher was coach of the boy's basketball team. Anyways there were alot of people and most of the people there just went for an excuse to ditch the last 2 periods. I was gonna get a ticket but it was kinda too late when I tried to find one for sale and when I do, I forget to bring money for it. I saw the girl's basketball game and a little bit of the boy's game because I had to go to my last class so I could only stay for a period. We won the girl's game by alot and even though I didn't see the boy's game, I heard we won. The competition looked tough but we managed to win so thats wonderful. =)

First day of school

today was the first day of school for the whole school year and it wasn't the best first day ever that I've had. nothing really changed much except for like people getting some new clothes or like people getting haircuts. Jason got some new clothes and he wears jeans now which is pretty different. Gabe got a new haircut and so did Chris. but yea. nothing special on the first day except just seeing all my friends again. I have like homework all stacked up on me and it sucks but I'm used to it. Right now there's like a bunch of people worried about the pre-IB application thing. Some people are asking about the part where you fill your grades in and they're not sure whether to put Grade 8 marks or Grade 9 because the Grade 9 report card was blank while other people are complaining about the 500 word biography. I started the application already but I'm just confused on some parts like the report card thing. Do you use your Grade 9 marks or your Grade 8 marks for the application?

SCHOOL TMRR

I cant believe the 2 weeks of winter vacation are over. Already. That felt like 2 days instead of 2 weeks. It would be awesome if the winter break lasted for one more week or two. I just really love sleeping in and doing whatever you want all day. Going back to waking up early will be hard. omggg.... I dun wanna go to school tomorrow. I'm like sooo tired and I had so much fun during winter break and snowboarding at Whistler and the wonderful Christmas dinner. I miss all the shopping at metro with my parents. If only it was Christmas all over again. It was an awesome Christmas even though there was no snow. If only it was the start of winter break all over again.

POLAR BEAR SWIMM

today was the polar bear swim and I went just like every year. There were tons of people this year and alot of people dressed like its Halloween. Some guy was dressed as Fred Flintstone and another was dressed up as Santa and another was in a hockey helmet and a Canucks jersey. They all jumped in the water. It was hard getting pictures cuz there was just so many people but I managed to get some. It might not be great though but just tells you how many people there were.

Great start to 2012 =)
