chinese school

soooooo its saturday and I have chinese school again. It's horrible because we have an exam. Not like those weekly ones but the big ones that count for like 20% of your mark. Anyways, I did bad just like usual. I didn't really get much time to prepare for it because I was pretty busy. Also, when I got to class, it turns out our old teacher came back. I kinda missed the other lady. She was really nice but anyways, the old teacher was gone because it turns out a relative of his passed away. It's kinda sad hearing him talk about it because it just reminded me of my dog. Welcome back i guess... I'm gonna miss the lady but the old teacher's pretty nice too.

I gave him a battery, some tissue, some of my hair, a penny, 10 dollars, a blackhead strip, 20 Hong Kong dollars, and a pack of gum. He seemed pretty happy about it I guess.

Pretty good day. Best part of my day was math. I LOVEEEEE MATHHHH. I was listening to some music with my friend and it felt a little like heaven.

Tears

If you didn't know, my auntie used to be the owner of Whiskey. She loves dogs and she bought him a little before I was born. She grew up with him but doesn't live with us anymore. Anyways, she's been about 8 weeks pregnant and she had no idea Whiskey died. We tried to avoid telling her because if she knew, she would break down and cry for days and that could upset the pregnancy so we decided to keep it a secret. It was working until my parents told my sister about it and she went crying and then she posted how Whiskey died all on Facebook and now our auntie knows. She just called me today to explain everything since I was the closest to the dog and now she's crying like crazy. After she heard, she just posted this:

Buskerfest Singing.

today was another rainy day. I can't believe its raining for like this whole week.

Anyways. today we started our singing from class to class for Buskerfest to raise money and it was kinda awkward. Just a little I guess. We went to 3 classes in total. The first one we went to were the Synergy 8s. That went pretty well I suppose. Then after that, we went to Ms. Greskiw's class. I guess that was the one that was actually awkward. It was probably because they were Grade 9s and I knew some of the people there. It went okay but not many people donated. Finally we went to Mr. Martin's class and he had the Pre-IBs. It actually went pretty well that time. We got a decent amount of donations and there was one person that was generous enough to donate a 5 dollar bill. We did a good job for our first time.

we're not really getting such nice weather in Vancouver. It's always soo rainy or cloudy. What happened to all those sunny summer days. Then again it's not even summer. Still. Worst thing about Vancouver would have to be the weather.

Anyways, during English today, we got this new mystery book we had to read. it was about this dead dog and all I ended up thinking about was Whiskey. I wonder how he's doing in heaven. I hope he still remembers me. Wherever he is.

I had orienteering for P.E. again and I got a much better time than last time. I found the second run easier than the first one. The first one was fire hydrants and this time for the second one, it was addresses. The next run will probably be harder because we'll be using compasses and we'll have to take bearings.

life still sucks without Whiskey. I still just haven't fully gotten over him yet.

first day of school was pretty much just like any regular day of school except it was Mr. Olson's birthdayy. Happy birthday!! It was nice seeing everyone again but really, I much rather see my dog again. I miss him soooo much.

speaking of Whiskey, I went to the dog hotel to collect his belongings. It was kinda emotional seeing his collar and his leash and his pet food. To believe a week ago he was alive wearing his collar and eating his pet food like any other normal day. The people there told us they tried to save him. He went unconscious and they brought him to the operation room. I'm not quite sure what they did to save him but they got him back conscious at one point. That was probably the last time he saw the world. Then he went back unconscious and soon, he left the world. It's sad. I miss him. Why.

a day without Whiskey

I never realized how much I needed him till now. I could barely sleep last night. I woke up at 5 am in the morning feeling scared and alone. My room felt dark and cold without Whiskey. He was my light and my warmth. I dont think I could ever get over him. I dont think my mind would ever accept the fact that he's gone. I miss the moments I had with him and I'll cherish them forever. I'm still reliving the moment my dad told me Whiskey passed away when I got home. That was probably the worse moment of my life. I still remember myself blogging about how Whiskey was getting old. I guess it had to happen sometime. *sigh*. I miss him so much. Life is gonna change without him. What I would give to pet him one last time, give him one last hug, hear his bark, and just say a proper goodbye and show how much I love him. Thanks for making me happy Whiskey. I would always look forward to seeing you when I got back home. Now there's nothing to look forward to anymore. You will always be alive in my heart. Forever.

R.I.P Whiskey

I got back from Hong Kong and I got back home just to be informed with bad news. My best friend, my first and only dog, Whiskey passed away on Sunday when I was in Venice. He was like my brother. He would always be by my side to protect me, keep me in company, and just make my day that much better. He passed away on March 18th, 2012. I'm going to miss him alot. I've cried for about an hour now and my eyes are still wet. I don't even know what to do anymore. When I first heard that he passed away, I just couldn't bear myself to believe that he's gone. I was in shock. I spent my whole life with him. Whenever I went biking, I would bring him with me. He would always sleep under my bed keeping me safe and warm. He's as old as me. I wont ever forget you Whiskey. No dog could ever replace you. I love you so much. I know I didn't get to say goodbye and I don't think I ever could but just remember me wherever you are. You're in a better place now and I'll always have you in my heart. I'll try not to cry but if I do don't blame me. You made me a better person. You made my childhood fun and memorable. All those memories I've had with you will always be cherished. Goodbye <3

last day in Hong Kong

today was my last day in Hong Kong before I go back to Vancouver. Actually my flight's tonight. Anyways I finally watched the Hunger Games with my mom and my sister and it was pretty good. It was nice to see how the places looked like. There were some problems with it too like some of the action scenes had really shaky camerawork so it was hard to see what the heck was really going on. They did a pretty good job of filling people in with some background info but for a scene or two, they didn't do such a good job. For some people who didn't read the book, it was kinda hard for them to understand some parts. Overall good movie though. My sister loved it. After that, we went shopping but we really couldn't find much. We got home and we started packing. Finally, we had dinner and headed to the airport and that was it for Hong Kong. I'll be back during summer.

I'm gonnna misss spring break. I barely even did any gaming. well i guess a "break" includes a break from gaming too.
ANYWAYS, today I had a barbecue to celebrate my mom's birthday which is on Sunday. We're celebrating it early. It was pretty fun. Alot of stuff to eat but it was SUPER windy. I had a bag of chips and they blew away even though I was holding it. We had to put like stuff to hold down the plates so they dont go flying everywhere. it was quite amazing. I was stupid enough to play badminton outdoors on such a windy day and I ended up losing 2 birdies because the barbecue was like on a rooftop and they flew down the building soooo yea. Kinda dumb but overall, it was fun.

OMGGG SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST ENDINGGG

Wow its Thursday already.
I can't believe it but spring breaks coming to an end.
sorry for repeating myself. I've probably said it in my previous blogs but ANYWAYS. today my mom, my sister, and I went for some sushi. then after that, I decided I was in the mood for some tennis so we went to this tennis court, booked a court and played some tennis with my mom and my sister. after that we went to this restaurant for a drink and some snacks and that was it for the day. I'm watching the Hunger Games on Saturday. I've been watching for it for quite a while now. Finally get to go watch it. kinda excited.

back in Hong Kong

The trip in Italy's over. That's a shame... Now I'm back in Hong Kong with about 3-4 more days of my spring break left. Time passes by pretty quick. Honestly, 2 weeks doesn't feel like much if you're having fun. Gotta spend time relaxing.

The trip back to Hong Kong wasn't too great. The flight was 11 hours and it was during noon so it was pretty hard to sleep. My legs were aching and it was just a rough ride. Plus all the movies were the same from the ride to Italy so there really wasnt anything to watch. sooo boring on the plane but at least its over... till the flight back to Vancouver. omg... i hate going on planes.

well. it's almost time to leave Italy. It was a pretty nice trip overall. I did ALOT in the past 6 days and it was all fun. We saw alot of things and we spent pretty much everyday walking through the town. I got to spend alot of time with my family and its just really nice. I'm gonna miss the nice food and the history each city holds. Definitely gonna miss the nice weather here and the nice scenery. Everyday we've been here, it was clear blue skies. It was just perfect. In the future, I'll plan to come here with my family again and just have fun like we did these days. I'M GONNA MISS YOUU ITALLYY. I'll be back someday and when I'm back, I hope you'll be the same way I left you as.

LASTT DAYY IN ROMEEEEE

well. the trip's coming to an end.

today I just came back from Venice and it was kinda sad. I'll probably never go back there for another couple of years or so. I'm definitely gonna miss Venice. Anyways. we spent our last day in Italy by shopping. We got driven to this outlet where there were alot of shops. It kinda reminded me of the outlets in the US. Anyways we went from store to store trying to find something we liked and I got a pair of shoes and some clothes. Pretty good day overall. Shoppings fun if you find something you like.

Today we continued our trip in Venice and it's beautiful. We walked through the alleys and streets and crossed bridges and there were alot of shops. Mostly glass because there's a island which produces glass so they have ALOT of nice glass products. Pictures.

todayyy during the morning, we continued our trip in Florence and walked all the way up a big church. After that we took the Eurostar train once again to Venice and it's beautiful there. Lots of nice scenery and there were alot of people there. Pictures.

ITALY DAYYY 3

Today we took a train, EuroStar, all the way from Roma to Florence. It was a pretty nice trip. I saw all the beautiful mountains and fields on the way and really, it looks like mountains and fields we have in Canada. Nothing too special. Some pictures taken in Florence.

ITALY DAY 2- STILL IN ROMEE

Today we continued our trip in roaming around Rome. Rome isn't actually as big as I thought it would be. I almost already know how to get around by going around the metro. It's quite beautiful here.

FLIGHT TO ITALLYY

Welll it's time to go to Italy. Actually the flight wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. It was a midnight flight so basically I slept through a big part of the flight. Also, the plane wasn't packed so there were alot of empty seats. Basically you could sit anywhere you wanted if there weren't people there so I got 2 seats. Yea. It was a pretty comfortable flight. The bad part was, all the movies on the plane were the same movies as the flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong so yeaaa. Nothing much to watch. Excited for Italy. =)

HONG KONG DAY 2

MY SECONDDD DAYY IN HONG KONGG
Still pretty boringgggg. Not much to dooo. It's stilll sooo freaking cold. I'm at the same spot as I was in yesterday. Still sitting beside the same heater in the same position. I never expected it to be this cold in hk. Omggg I'm like shivering. I still got jet lag too. At least its not that badd anymore. I slept at like 11 and I woke up at 10 so yeaaa. Better than yesterday. It's like 7 pm here and I'm kinda tired... My flight to Italy's in like 4 hours soo I should be getting ready and packing up. A 14 hour flight. Just great. OMGGG i hate going on the plane.

DAYY 1 IN HONG KONG

first offical day in Hong Kong.
Right now it seems pretty nice. I still got jet lag though. Woke up at like 6:00 in the morning. OMGGGG. I'm soo bored right noww. Theres like literally nothing to do. No games to playy. Nothing much to watch on TV. At least I get some time to relaxx. It's actually pretty cold here. I'm like in the living room wrapped around my blanket sitting beside a heater. I can't believe I'm going to Italy tomorrow. I took a 13 hour flight here yesterday and now tomorrow, I'm taking a 14 hour flight to Italy. It's gonna be rough. I'm already sooo tired. This is like torture. OMGGG.

HONGGG KONGGGG

*sigh* FINALLLLLLYYYY. After spending 13 hours on the plane I'm finally hereeee in Hong Kong. UGHHHH. The flight was uncomfortable. My legs were aching and cramping. There weren't many movies to watch on the flight and I didn't really sleep much. Not the best flight. I kinda even miss school. The weathers not that perfect here. It's sometimes rainy and cloudy but yea. Going to Italy tomorrow midnight. I heard the weather there's pretty nice so yea kinda excited for that. I got jet lag. I should probably go sleep it off if possible. Night.

SPRINGGG BREAKKKK

FINALLLLLLYYYYYYYYY. Spring break is hereeee. I've never felt sooo freee. Well sorta free anyways. It kinda sucks because I won't be staying here in Vancouver to spend some time with my friends. If only I could bring my friends along with me for my trip that would be awesome. I guess I'll get some more family time and I guess we'll have fun. Thiss is gonna be the last night for me in Vancouver till spring break ends. *sigh* gotta cherish tonight's sleep because tomorrow, I'll be sleeping up in mid-air on a plane. I hate going on planess. SOOOO uncomfortable. I've been on planes soo often that I'm sick of the smell you get when you enter the plane. It smells weird like the seats. Hope there's good movies to watch on the plane so I don't get bored.

BACKK TO SCHOOL

Finallyyy, the strike is overrr. I haven't been to school for 5 dayyss. Well I can't really say it's over. It's over for this week. I can't believe tomorrow's the last day of schoool till Spring Breakk. OMGGGG. I don't know why but my mind is still stuck at Christmas. I guess I just really miss Christmas. I felt like Christmas just ended and in a blink of an eye, it's already spring break. I just finished doing the Science invention thing and I'm kinda scared because tomorrow I'm finally doing my English presentation. At least it's the last period and once I'm done with it, I'll be finished with school and I don't have to worry about anything else. Excited for tomorrow I guess. LASTT DAYY OF SCHOOOOOL.

STRIKE DAYYYY 3

*sigh* today's the last day of the strike and the 5 day-weekend. That means there's actually school tomorrow. Omggg... I don't get to sleep in anymoree. Why can't the teachers just strike for the whole week so we could have a 3 week spring break and just go on vacation earlier... I don't even feel like going to school tomorrow. I have a French project due soon and I also have this science invention thing due Friday. At least there's only 2 more days of school left. After these 2 days, I'll be going to Hong Kong right on Saturday. We'll be staying at Hong Kong for a few days then I'll be going to Italy. I've been to Italy once before when I was 12 but I was with a tour and we only stayed there for a day or two. Now this time, I'll be staying there for about a week just sightseeing and taking pictures. We'll travel on our own and get around on our own soooo yea. I'm pretty excited for spring break. I'll finally get to relax.

STRIKE DAY 2

It's the second day of the strike and I decided to go to Oakridge today with some of my friends from elementary since we barely even see each other anymore. We also passed by our elementary and we saw our old elementary teachers striking. I recognized my Grade 3 teacher, my Grade 5 teacher, and my Strings teacher. They were around the school area holding up signs. Anyways we hung at Oakridge for a while grabbing some lunch at White Spot and we played some hockey and that was it for the day. It was beautiful today. It would've been a shame to waste it.

NOOO SCHOOOL

SOOOOOO today was the first day of the strike and I sure am making the most of it either though I still have tutor and such. I went to Richmond today to get some fresh air and I had some Pho for lunch and it was delicious. After I had Pho I went for my usual violin lessons and my violin teacher thought I was starting my spring break vacation today so he forgot all about me and he came like 15 mins late after we called him telling him that it was next week that my vacation started. So yeaaa. I guess he was a little disappointed that he had to come for class but I did pretty well even though I sounded horrible. Yeaa. Good day. =)

CYPRESSSS

SOOOOOO today's Sunday and with the 3 day strike the teachers are having, I actually got to enjoy my Sunday for once. My parents and I decided to go to Cypress for some snowshoeing. We've actually never been to Cypress this year. There was ALOT of snow there. There were at least like 2-3 metres of snow there and when we got there, it was actually snowing. It was pretty extreme because when we were walking, the snow was hitting straight at our faces and the snow was so hard it felt like shards of rocks hitting my face. We went through our usual snowshoe trails and we took some pictures.There was alot of fog up there too but the mountain was still just as beautiful as ever. At one point with the snow and the fog it felt like i was walking in heaven. We had alot of fun.

Today was her birthday and obviously we would have to celebrate it. The morning was just like any Saturday morning. I had my usual Takewondo classes and my Chinese school during the afternoon. After all those classes and lessons though, we took time to start celebrating her birthday. We went to a restaurant and we ordered alot of food. There were foods of all sorts. We had lobster, fish, some beef, and my favourite dish, Spicy Fried Tofu. It'ss soooo freaking good. As a birthday present to her, I bought her the birthday cake and I drew this pretty nice picture, which I'm very proud of, during Chinese school. She got alot of calls from her friends from Hong Kong and yea. Hope you have a great day grandma!!!! May all your dreams come true.

5 DAY WEEEKENDDDDD

Dannggg with the strike happening and all that, we're going to be having a 5 day weekend. I guess that means there's only 2 more days of school left till spring break. Also, today was Student Walkout and there were alot of people walking out. Some of my friends were walking out too but during my French class last period, no one even walked out. There were like 1 or 2 people who didn't even come to class and I assume they were doing the walkout but the majority stayed. That was just for our class though. In other classes, there were alot of people that went. Honestly, most of the people just went to go back home. There were some people that actually went to protest but majority went as an excuse to ditch class. I didn't really see the point in going especially since I had to go all the way to the Art Gallery and I had cadets at like 5:30 so I stayed with the rest of the 28 people in my class. Wonder how this strike thing i gonna turn out. 

fieldtrip

Today we had a fieldtrip to the Jewish Community Centre beside Oakridge and we learnt all about the Holocaust. We watched a short film called "Pigeon" and it talked about a Jew who was getting on a train with a fake passport. It was a pretty neat film and it had a very meaningful ending. After watching the film, we had an actual Holocaust survivor tell us his story and what he's been through. He's had a hard and sad life. He also had these childhood pictures which were taken before the Holocaust happened. There was a picture of his dad and him riding bikes and a picture of him and his mom together and it was beautiful. It was pretty emotional too because his dad was one of the victims who were taken away and killed and he talked about the last time he saw his dad in his life. His words were pretty strong.

ANYWAYSSS. Turns out the teachers are actually going on strike so I think we're gonna have a 5 day weekend. Tomorrow's Student Walkout Day and some people are going to the Art Gallery to protest so some people might not even be at school. Wonder how the strike's gonna turn out.
